The way this young man transcends his painful experiences and creates music is awesome. His lyrical style is complex, so probably will not fit most boxes for “favorite”. Some of his songs have been controversial because things like chronic illness that cause pain are hard. Doing what is right is not always easy.

Do me a favor, and give this a shot anyway, and listen all the way through.

Once you hear him, scroll down and listen to some of his music. And also look at the lyrics. Some of it may cause you feel things that might not be comfortable. But I think once you get past that moment, many of you may find his words to be meaningful. As I did.

I challenge you to have the courage to tap into your empathy and try to hear the words, truly.
