FB respost: Considering the importance of civil discussion

It seems like studying the Constitution can never be set aside. Considering the importance of civil discussion is not really a new idea, and was well thought of by the founding fathers, many of whom did not agree with one another. even so, they had the good sense to value and validate the opinions of others, and trusted that the worst of us could be moderated by civil discussions.

So the true enemies of We The People are those who would suppress open discourse, and those who would refuse to compromise. And that blame knows no political party. We are each and every one of us responsible for doing better.

So, if you are one who wants to get back to basics… maybe that is exactly what we need.
