FB repost: What is loyalty worth?

What is loyalty worth?

When a person spends 20 years investing in a community with time and sweat, and the innumerable opportunity costs, then that loyalty gets betrayed, a person just has to wonder what is it really worth?

One person reached out to me in over a year and a half. One. People I once considered close associates, and some even friends, did not. I’ve always chosen to believe those relationships matter. Perhaps I was deluded about those concepts as well. It left me feeling very hurt and worse, feeling jaded.

The more we love, the more we grieve. So the same passion that fueled that loyalty also can also fuel regret. But I still believe. At least I’m trying to. My heart’s not in it right now, but I’m going to keep believing.

I know what loyalty is supposed to be worth… I’m holding on to it for those who deserve it. Fall down nine times, get up ten.

Even an AI from Google knows what it’s worth. Asked it the same question, “What is loyalty worth?”

See below.
