Post Charlie Kirk – Getting real with the dichotomy

Violence bad. Across the board. And also remember that hateful free speech is still free speech. The price and also reward of democracy is to coexist with people we don’t necessarily agree with. And yet we can and do coexist peacefully. That which unites us is greater than that which divides us.

That is at the heart of our 1st Amendment right. To think differently, and speak differently, and then we as a people can consider which words we choose to listen to and embrace.

Listen to your own heart and see if it resonates best with a call to peace, or a call to do harm. I think most people will choose peace. Do not let fear mongers persuade you otherwise.
